New JavaTM platform and application server give customers the latest, most powerful tools for their online development.
iMagine Internet Services is proud to announce the immediate availability of the latest JavaTM software development kit as well as the latest version of the Tomcat application server! By switching to the JavaTM 2 SDK version 1.4, customers will get the latest JavaTM features within the JavaTM programming environment, including the new logging API, updated objects, and the latest HotspotTM VM Runtime. Tomcat 4.0 offers customers the very latest in Web applications development, including the JavaTM Servlet 2.3 and JavaServer PagesTM 1.2 specifications (JSDK 2.3, JSPTM 1.2).
Nearly all iMagine IS customers can enjoy these new services either by a simple change of their configuration on their existing server, or by switching to an account on a newer server. There is no additional cost to upgrade to these new services! Any customer currently subscribed to our Blue Ice or Deep Blue services can enjoy these services simply by requesting them via our support ticket system. Any customer currently subscribed to our Standard Service with Private JVMTM can take advantage of these new services by switching to Blue Ice or Deep Blue (the cost of either of these services may vary from the cost of legacy services). All dedicated hosting customers can request these features be added to their servers. All other services, including Blue Lite, Standard Service with Shared JVM, QOS 1 and QOS 2 can not yet take advantage of these new services. We expect to add these new capabilities to all remaining services in the near future. Please watch our front page news headlines for the latest information on these services.
